Breif Description Of The Program: After successful completion of Nine trekking expedition programmes in Munnar, Schenduruni, Muzaries, Athirappally and Vazhachal, YHAI Kerala state branch gives another opportunity to explore the “Alleppy (Alappuzha) Back Water”.
Reporting Dates: 29th April 2021, 30th April 2021
How To Reach The Base Camp:
The reporting place for the programme is at “Karmasadan Alappey”.
By Train: The nearest railhead is Alleppy(2.4 KMS) which is connected to with Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Danbad, Vizhagapattanam, Vijayavada, Mysore, Ahammedabad, Baroda, Howrah and Guwahathi etc.
By Air: The nearest airport is Cochin International airport 81 Kms.
Dormitory with pacca bathroom and Toilet.
Food & Water Supplies:
Simple Vegetarian Food (Kerala Style) and safe Drinking Water.
Who Can Participate?: Any YHAI member above the age of 15 years can participate on first cum first serve basis.
How To Join: YHAI Members desirous of joining the programme may apply online through our website www.yhaindia.org or by the prescribed registration from along with a DD of requisite amount in favour of “Youth Hostels Association of India Kerala State Branch” payable at Canara Bank, Ponnani, Malappuram District, Kerala State or Online payment to State Branch Account (A/c No 0756101040595 Branch Code 756 IFSC Code CNRB0000756 Canara Bank Ponnani Malappuram). The application along with medical fitness certificate, Copy of ID Card and a photograph should be send to Mr. J. Shine (State Secretary YHAI) C/o Gurukripa, Sreenivasapuram P.O Varkala, Kerala 695945 by Speed / Registered post.
What Participants Should Bring: Shoulder Bag, Cotton Pants / Jeans, Tourch with extra batteries, Soap, Towel, Mug, Plate, Lunch Box, Glass, Water Bottle, Plate, Spoon, and Medicine if any using regularly.
Cancellation: In case you are unable to join this trek you will get 50% of the prog. Fee which is Rs.3925 /- as refund, provided your online cancellation request is received before 31st March 2021 (positively). Any request received after the last date of cancellation will not be considered.
Participants who have booked online should cancel online before 31st March 2021 (http://yhaindia.org/program-cancellation.php).
Any unforeseen event / strike or natural calamity will not be considered as a cause of cancellation. Refund will be given after completion of the programs.
Cancellation Rules: In case you are unable to join the programme after paying participation fee, you will get Rs 3912/-as refund provided your request is received at least 10 days in advance from the date of your reporting. No refund will, however, be admissible if such notice is short of 10 days.
Safety & Security: Our field volunteers and camp leaders have been visited the area and check the details. While every care has been taken to ensure safety, Youth Hostels Association of India cannot be held responsible for any accident, illness and such other unforeseen eventualities.
Climate: March to May is summer and these are the hottest months with the temperature raising up to 35 degree Celsius.
Additional Notes: Use of alcohol and narcotics of any description and smoking are strictly prohibited during the programme. Deviation from the set rout of the programme is not permitted. If participants desire to join any other activity, they may do so at their own responsibility and risk only after finishing the programme and check out.
