Bakore – Trekking & Family Camp

According to legend this name was derived from the mythological demon Bakasura who was slain by Bhim. In Moonsoon, The entire area becomes lush green. The scrub forests of Bakore are a home for a number of animals such as Nilagai, Hyena, Jackal & Porcupine. Birdlife is abundant and includes Indian Pitta, The Paradise Fly Catcher & Grey Hornbill.


LOCATION: 172 kms. from Ahmedabad, Near Modasa

ACTIVITIES: Trekking, Birds watching, Campfire, Wildlife Quiz, Star Gazing etc.

STAY: CEE Camp Site, Bakor(There is a direct bus originating from Nehru Nagar every morning at around 0700 hours reaching Babaliya Chokdi-Bakore- at 1100 hours. The bus goes via Gita Mandir so members can get onto the bus also from there. From Babaliya Chokdi-Bakore- local jeeps charge Rs.200 to Rs.250/- for the entire Jeep. They take upto 10 to 12 members in one jeep, People coming with their Own Vehicle can take route – Ahmedabad- Gandhinagar-Chiloda-Majra-Talod–Harshol-Dhansura-Malpur-Babaliya Chokdi-Bakore-Ameti bus stop- CEE Camp Site)

DATE:21 to 23 September, 2018(Direct Reporting at Camp Site by 12pm)

DURATION: 3 Days / 2 Nights

AGE:Above 12 Years(For Trekking participants)
Above 5 years (For Child accompanied by parent)
(Families are also invited to this camp, Charges per Member)

REGISTRATION START: 12 September 2018 Wednesday 6:30 pm to 8 pm at YHAI Ahmedabad Main Unit Office and onwards on discretionary basis. (YHAI Membership is must for Registration)

CAMP FEES: 100 / – (YHAI fee) + Food & Stay Charges etc. are to be paid by Participant to concern agency(Approximate total costs for camping will be Rs. 1600/- including YHAI fee).

CANCELLATION: Rs. 50 / – will be deducted if cancelled on or before 18 September, 18. No refund thereafter in any case.

YOU HAVE TO BRING: Walking or Trekking Shoes, Sun-Cap, Water Bottle, Light Bedding (cotton bedsheet & air pillow), Woolen Cloths, Lunch Box, Glass, Mug, Bowl, Spoon, Plate, Slippers, Personal Medicines, Mosquito repellent Cream, Pen, Notebook, Binoculars etc.
