H.E. the Governor of Gujarat, Shree Nawal Kishore Sharma felicitated Dipak Maroo - Space Applications Centre scientist and Hon. Secretary of YHAI Main Unit-for his outstanding feat in the adventurous scientific mission to Antarctica. The function was organised at Gandhinagar by Youth hostel association of India’s Ahmedabad Main Unit on 19th July, 2009.

H.E. the Governor appealed the youth to make worth while contributions for the growth and prosperity of our nation. Environment crisis is looming over the world, threatening to become a catastrophe for our planet. “Gujarat has played a pioneering and pivotal role in white revolution. We must concentrate to win huge community participation for Green Gujarat Movement. Our youth must take over the forestation drives. Every youth must plant at least one sapling. I am sure, youth hostel and our young generation would commit themselves for forest conservation movements,” added H.E. the Governor. H.E. the Governor had appreciated the patriotic initiatives taken by youth hostel. Youth hostel is making relentless efforts to generate public awareness for protecting environment.
