Andaman and Nicobar Islands celebrate its tranquil environment with its 300 islands and travelers from across the globe. It is popularly known for its white sand beaches often shadowed by the palms, and the dark surroundings of the tropical rainforests.

Breif Description Of The Program : Andaman and Nicobar Islands celebrate its tranquil environment with its 300 islands and travelers from across the globe. It is popularly known for its white sand beaches often shadowed by the palms, and the dark surroundings of the tropical rainforests. The cheerful marine life which is perfect for diving and snorkeling is where all the praise comes for the union territory.
 
Day wise Schedule:
Day 1 : Reporting and local Sightseeing:-
Participants will be reporting at Port Blair and will be picked up by jeep/taxi and for Hotel Check in – 10.00 a.m. An introduction and briefing session – 11 am.
Lunch – 1 .00 pm to 2.00 pm
After lunch, the participants will be taken to visit to the Carbyn’s Cove beach which is 9 Km from Port Blair – it is a coconut palm fringed beach, ideal for swimming, Sun – basking and bathing. The Cellular Jail is a major attraction for tourists. Now overrun with plants and moss, it is a memorial to the freedom fighters who martyred their lives for the country’s independence. The library here has interesting books on the indigenous tribes of the island. In the evening sag of the heroic freedom struggle is brought alive in a moving sound and light show at the premises of Cellular Jail. This will be followed by a visit to the Marina Park and Water Sports Complex. Overnight stay at respective Hotel/Resort at Port Blair

Dinner – 8.30 p.m to 9.30 p.m.

Day 2 : Visit to Coral Island + Ross Island:- Breakfast : 7.30 a.m. to 8.30 a.m.
After breakfast the participants will visit to the North Bay (Coral Island) – to see coral reefs, varieties of beautiful ornamental fishes and other marine life. This is an ideal place for Snorkelling as this Sandy Beach coupled with clear water creates a Breath – Taking spectacle. Optional activities–Snorkelling, Scuba Diving, Glass Bottom Ride, Swimming. After that proceed for Ross Island, the former residential and administrative island of the British during the rule of SouthEast Asia, was nicknamed the Paris of the east. This Island is an Ideal destination for nature walk amidst sylvan surroundings with deer’s, peacock Exotic birds etc. Evening shopping at Sagarika

Day 3 : visit to Havelock Island by Inter- Island Ferry:- Breakfast : Packed Breakfast
Early Morning(5.30 a.m.) departure by Inter- Island ferry to Havelock Island (57 km by sea) visit to RadhaNagar Beach (one of top 10 Beaches in Asia). The coral reef at Havelock is still intact and makes Snorkelling a great pleasure. Optional Tour+ extra charges for Elephant Beach in Havelock real exposures of unpolluted nature for an environment lover. After lunch proceed back to Port Blair.
Lunch – 1 .00 pm to 2.00 pm
Dinner – 8.30 p.m to 9.30 p.m.

Day 4 : Visit to Baratang Island:- Breakfast : Packed Breakfast
Early morning (3.30 a.m.) – the participants will leave to visit Baratang Island (Jarawa Reserve forest, a journey in the Evergreen forest, LimeStone Cave-Natural limeStone Cave and a Speed Boat riding into the mangrove forest creek and Mud Volcano) Same day return.
Lunch – 1 .00 pm to 2.00 pm
Dinner – 8.30 p.m to 9.30 p.m.

Day 5 : Port Blair City Tour & Chidiyatapu :-
Breakfast : 8.00 a.m. to 8.30 a.m.
After breakfast the participants will go for city tour of Port Blair-covering (Chatham Saw Mill- Asia’s largest and oldest Saw Mill, Forest Museum, Mini Zoo, Samudrika or Naval Marine Museum, Anthropological Museum- a collection of Andaman Nicobar Island Tribes life style, Cellular Jail, Fisheries Museum- collection of underwater spices or live found in Andaman Sea) ,chidiyatapu ( sun set point )
Lunch – 1 .00 pm to 2.00 pm
Dinner – 8.30 p.m to 9.30 p.m
Eco-friendly camp fire with the cultural activities participants – 9.30 p.m. t0 10.00 p.m.
Day 6 : Departure – After breakfast, transfer to the Airport for return flight remembrance of exotic Andaman.
 
Program Fee: For 5 Nights / 6 Days : Rs 19,900/- Per Person ( Double Sharing Accommodation )
Upto Child 2 Yrs : No Charges
2 Yrsto 6 Yrs : Rs 6,500/- Per Child Without Bed.
6 Yrsto 10 Yrs : Rs 10,500/- Per Child With Bed.

Who can Participate: Any YHAI member between the age of 10 years and 60 years can participate in the programme. YHAI Membership is mandatory to participate. Under age and above age may contact the National Office for consideration of their special request. Admission will be at the discretion of the management.

Instructions to the Participants
1. Smoking, use of alcohol and narcotics of any description is strictly prohibited during the course of the program.
2. Stay other than YHAI Accommodation is not allowed for the entire duration of the camp.
3. This is an environment friendly program. Do no litter any wrappers or spoil the trial in any way. In case you find any wrapper, plastic bag or anything left by travel on the way, please carry the same with you and deposit at the base camp.
4. You can book program without membership but membership is mandatory at the time of reporting at base camp.
5. Participants are expected to behave cordially with each other and staff. Any misbehavior/harassment will be a cause for check-out from camp.
6. Accommodation will be provided on sharing basis.
7. Program schedule & route are subject to change without prior notice depend on local administration & weather condition.
 
What participants should bring along : Normal WATERPROFF Shoes, FLIP FLOP / FLOTTERS, Socks 4 Pair, Cotton T-shirts, Wind Cheater (Upper· & Lower with hoods, preferable water repelled), Rain Coat/ Set/poncho, Sweater and Woolen Cap., Sun Glass (any colour other than blue)., Daysack/knapsack, Power bank (as per your requirement), Torch (With spare cells), Water Bottle, Medicine (As per your personal requirement, which you regularly use at home and Crepe Bandage 4in*1, Micropore tape 1/2inch*1, Band-Aids, Cough lozenges/ Kanthil or other, Vicks Vaporub, Cold cream, Clotrimazole cream and powder, Paracetamol*10 Mupirocin cream, Diclofenac gel, Lopamide*10, Azithromycin and Electoral). Masks and Sanitizer·
 
Safety & Security : Extensive and painstaking preparations have gone into the Planning of your safety. Our field staff and experienced camp volunteers have been visiting the area to check all details. While every care has been taken to ensure safety, the Youth Hostels Association of India cannot be held responsible for any accident, Illness and such other unforeseen eventualities.
 
Cancellation Method:
1) Participants booked online will do online cancellation minimum 10 days prior to your reporting date.
2) Participants booked offline will inform their cancellation by email to trekking@yhaindia.org minimum 10 days prior to your reporting date.
Only cancellation done as per above method will be eligible for credit shell/refund. The below cancellation policy will however not be applicable if the request reaches short of 10 days prior to the reporting date and shall not be eligible for credit shell/refund.

Cancellation Policy:
The Participant, who cancels the programme by serving request minimum 10 days prior to his/her reporting date as per above terms and conditions of “Cancellation Method”, is eligible to get the credit shell or refund as follows:
(a) Credit Shell:-
1) In case you are unable to join the programme due to any reason, you will get a 100% Credit Shell of the participation fees which will be valid till December 2024.
2) If the next programme opted by you is cheaper, you may use the balance amount in any of the Trek till Dec 2024.
3) If the next opted programme is costlier, the trekker has to pay the differential amount.
4) Program opted using the Credit Shell cannot be cancelled again.
5) You may transfer your seat to your family members and friends also. The seats thus transferred cannot be retransferred or cancelled.
6) The credit shell can only be used in booking of adventure programs organised by YHAI. The credit shell will not be used in taking memberships and hostel bookings.

OR

(b) Refund:-
Participants can opt for a 50% refund instead of 100% credit shell if they wish to. The conditions of “Cancellation Method” will be the same as mentioned above. The participant has to inform either offline or online minimum 10 days prior to his reporting date. If the request reaches short of 10 days prior to the reporting date the refund request shall not be considered.
Note: If any program will be cancelled due to Natural Calamity / Government Restriction / Cancellation of Permission or any other reasons, YHAI will be accountable only for program fees and not other expenses which participants have made for joining the program. In these circumstances the decision for participation fees will be considered by the YHAI and will be bound to all.
