YHAI is again comes up to celebrate the Youth Day with a new programme. This programme is to offer the youth a new cycling route from Chennai to Puducherry.
Breif Description Of The Program : YHAI is again comes up to celebrate the Youth Day with a new programme. This programme is to offer the youth a new cycling route from Chennai to Puducherry. Clear roads sprinkled with sparkling beaches make this trail one of the best in India. The route, going through Mamallapuram, is renowned for its glistening seaside views.
Schedule Of Programme :
Day – 1 : Reporting at base camp Youth Hostel Chennai and Training/Acclimatization
Day – 2 : Cycling from Chennai to Mamallapuram- 58 kms
Day – 3 : Cycling from Mamallapuram to Alamparai Fort (50 KM)
Day – 4 : Cycling from Alamparai Fort to Puducherry Youth Hostel (49 KM)
Day – 5 : Cycling from Puducherry Youth Hostel to Auroville French New Town and back to Youth Hostel (25 km)
Day – 6 : Certificate Distribution/Recreation activity Disperse after Breakfast
The programme will disperse at Puducherry Youth Hostel.Extra Luggage will be handover to Participants at Puducherry only.
Note : Route and Schedule of the programme may change without prior notice based on the local condition
Who can Participate : The minimum age for a member to join the program is 18 years to 75 Years, YHAI membership is mandatory to participate. This condition will be adhered to strictly. Under age and above age will not be considered in any case. Members desirous of joining this programme may apply online duly supported by a “Trekking Medical Certificate”.

What Participants Should Bring Along : aincoat, torch, water bottle, lunch box, mug, plate, tumbler, cold cream and a first-aid kit.
Admit card, 2 set Xerox copies of ID Proof, Medical Certificate, 2 Passport size Photos, Membership card, payment receipt if paid by offline.
Equipment provided by YHAI : 1. Mountain Bike 2. Helmet 3. Knee Cap 4.Elbow Guard 5. Knap Sack
Participants willing to take their own bicycles can bring.
Accommodation Facilities : Youth Hostel & Pucca Building (sharing based).
Food & Water Supplies : Simple vegetarian and nutritious food will be served
Safety And Security : While every care has been taken to ensure safety, the Youth Hostels Association of India cannot be held responsible for any theft, accident, illness and other such unforeseen eventualities.
Cancellation Rules :
1. In case you are unable to join the programme due to any reason, you will get a 50% refund of the participation fees. The request for cancellation must be received by us by email or any written mode or online before 7 days from the reporting date of your program. After that no request of cancellation will be considered. No refund will be applicable if the request of cancellation received less than 7 days prior to your reporting date.
2. YHAI is not liable to pay any personal travelling expenses to the participants in case of any cancellation of the program.
In case YHAI cancels the program last minute due to government permission issues, Participants will get a 100% refund. But in case of Participants cannot claim any travel amount they incurred.
For Offline Cancellations: You cancellation request should be sent to the State Office as per the criteria.

Seat once booked may not be re-scheduled or transferred.
If any participant is unable to join program then he may transfer his booking to any other person he is willing to. But the request for transfer the seat must received to us 7 days prior to the reporting date.
Any unforeseen event/ strike or natural calamity/ unfit medical condition will not be considered as a cause of cancellation.
Refund may be given after completion of the programs 30 to 45 working days.
