Youth Hostels Association of India, Tripura State Branch is organising a family / individual programme namely “Explore Tripura & Bangladesh” covering places in Agartala, Udaipur (Tripura State) and Dhaka, Cox Bazar (Bangladesh).

Breif Description Of The Program : Youth Hostels Association of India, Tripura State Branch is organising a family / individual programme namely “Explore Tripura & Bangladesh” covering places in Agartala, Udaipur (Tripura State) and Dhaka, Cox Bazar (Bangladesh). This is a good opportunity to see the scenic beauty of Tripura and exotic cultural heritage and historical remnants of Bangladesh.
 
Bangladesh – a rich cultural hub
Bangladesh – the land with a myth that the people spoke the language of birds; hundreds of rivers and estuaries crisscross the landscape giving brith a unique riverine culture. It is immensely rich in geographical and cultural diversity. Moverover having shared a history with India it shares a warm cultural bond as well. Tourist attractions include historical momuments, resorts, beaches, forest reserves and wildlife.
Dhaka is the capital city of Bangladesh. Set beside Buriganga river it is a centre of national government, trade and culture. This 17th century old city was also the Mughal capital of Bengal. One can also binge on sjhopping of local fineries of textile industry.
Cox Bazar is a popular port city in Bangladesh. A place frequented by beach-lovers, it equally draws the religious minded people as it houses an ancient Buddhist monastery. Being a port city it never lacks hustle-bustle due to vibrant commercial activities.
 
Tripura – the land of art & tribal culture
The princely state of Tripura acceded to the Indian Union in 1949. The ancient land of mysterious past is located in the North Easter region of India and is bounded on the north, west, south and south-east by the international boundary of Bangladesh. Pollution free eco-friendly environment and pleasant weather of this panoramic tiny state is inhabited by 19 tribes, Bengali and Manipuri communities.
Quietly nestled in the lush greenery of hills, verdant valleys and transparent waterscape, Tripura – a land of plenty of myths and legends, beckon tourists from across the globe. Teh wealth of Tripura’s traditional art, culture, history and archaeology, flora and fauna, bio-diversity always attract visitors and tourists.
 
Day wise Schedule:
Day 1 : Reporting at Bhagat Singh Youth Hostel, Agartala after 10.00 am.; 6.00 pm. – Orientation.
Day 2 : Agartala sight seeing & collection of visa & other formalities
Day 3 : Agartala (India) to Dhaka (Bangladesh) by bus
Day 4 & 5 : Dhaka sight seeing
Day 6 : Transfer to Cox Bazar
Day 7 : Sight seeing in Cox Bazar
Day 8 : Return to Agartala by bus
Day 9 : Disperse after breakfast
 
How to reach reporting centre (Bhagat Singh Youth Hostel) :
The nearest railway station is Agartala rail station (abt. 8 km), nearets airport is MBB Airport, Agartala (abt 6 km.). Auto/ tourist cabs are available from rail station / airport. Two landmarks are – Ginger Hotel (opposite Bhagat Singh Hostel) & Sonar Tori – the State Guest House (south of the hostel).
Agartala is well connected by air, railway and road with Delhi-Kolkata-Guwahati-Imphal.
 
Accommodation/ cancellation :
Per bed per person in dorminatory (separate dormitory for boys & girls in same building). Family rooms are available & can be arranged on demand wiht additional payment to the hostel authority.
In case you are unable to join the programme or wish to cancel, 50 % programme fee will be refunded subject to intimation to us in 7 days ahead of the reporting date. Refund will be given after completion of the programme. Any unforeseen incident/strike or natural calamity will not be considered as a cause of cancellation.
 
What participants should bring along : Personal clothing, international passport with minimum 6 months validity, 2 passport size photographs & ID proof for obtaining visa, COVID vaccination certificate etc.
