Matheran is a lush green hill station.
Stay in shared Dormitory or Tents (Family rooms are available on advance request at extra charges).
Trekking at varies points 4 to 5 hrs, option of horse riding (approx charges Rs 800-1200) in select points of Matheran. Next day: trek down to base of Matheran Hill 2 hrs. Alternately one can return by taking shared Taxi from Dasturi Naka and take train from Neral to CST (extra charges for Taxi around Rs 80 per head)
Optional Extra : Horse riding to nearby points at approx cost of Rs 500-600 per head

Who can Participate: Though there is no age limit, one needs to be a Fit person who has Eperience of Trekking , with No previous health issues and No history heart problems, Hypertension, palpitation, etc
How To Reach The Base Camp : Karjat is situated on Mumbai – Pune Railway route. Easy to approach by State Transport, Railway and private vehicles.
Accommodation Facilities : Optional – Overnight accommodation at Youth Hostel-Kharghar at cost extra. Kharghar youth hostel is three storey row house with elevator The ground floor has 2+1 Bed dormitory (Rs 700 per bed per night)
First and second floor has 1BHK air conditioned apartments. The first floor has two beds for couple. The second floor apartment has 4 beds for family suite. Youth Hostel Kharghar will offer complimentary dinner for overnight stay.
Food & Water Supplies : Simple vegetarian food and natural water. Participants can bring own water, medicines, if any required

Horse Riding /Trekking : Matheran has more than 450 numbers of trained horses. At extra payment of Rs 500 to 600 (Estimated) one can see 10 to 12 points We do not take responsibility for injuries sustained during horse Riding or liability from injuries caused to others due to horse riding or trekking.
What participants should bring along : Sun cap, Goggle, water bottle, extra clothes, Camera & Binocular at own risk.

Cancellation Rules : No refund for no shows or cancellations done later than five days prior day of trek. In case you are unable to join this trip you will get 50 % of the program fee as refund, provided your online cancellation request is received at least five days before the scheduled date. No refund for cancellations done later than 5 days prior to day of trek In case number of participants is less than eight, we will not conduct the trek , in which case anyone who has paid has option to come at future date or take full refund.

Seat once booked cannot be re-scheduled or transferred, unless authorized by Youth Hostel Kharghar Any unforeseen event / strike or natural calamity will not be considered as a cause of cancellation. Refund be given after 30 days of completion of the programs.
