Breif Description Of The Program : Matheran is a popular hill station near mumbai. it was built by the britishers. To escape the scorching heat of mumbai. A toy train to reach the hil station was built in their era. It can be explored by horses or on foot only.
Monsoon it is engulfed in mist and rain. its beauty is enhanced by numerous waterfalls cascading down the surrounding hills and matheran itself. Matheeran has many points around it. It’s a paradise year-round.
Day wise Schedule:
Day 1 : Reporting between 8:00 am to 9:00 am at neral railway station tkt window.
Breakfast at 9:30 am. departure for matheran by 10:00 am. Arrival at dasturi by 11:00 am. Trek to base camp in matheran to hotel royal. It is near matheran railway station. Allotment of rooms by 12:00 am. Lunch 12:30 to 1:30 pm.pm. rest till 2:30 pm. Proceed to nature study & trek and return to hotel by6:30 pm. Tea & snacks by 6:30 pm. Marketing till 8:00 pm. Dinner from 9:00 to 10:00 pm. Lights out at 10:30 pm
Day 2 : Breakfast 7:00 to 7:30 am. Nature study & trek and return to Hotel by 12:30 PM.
Lunch 1:00 to 1:30 pm. rest till 2:30 pm. Proceed to nature study & trek and return to hotel by 6:30 pm. Tea & snacks by 6:30 pm. group discussion from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Dinner from 9:00 to 10:00 pm. Lights out at 10:30 pm
Day 3 : Breakfast 7:00 to 7:30 am. friends you have got two options for return. Take a railway ticket from matheran to aman lodge railway station and travel from aman lodge to neral by taxi or trek to dasturi taxi point and take a taxi to neral. We do not entertain your railway travel up to aman lodge. Participants will have to take it on their own. Taxi travel from either aman lodge or dasturi will be borne by us.

How To Reach The Base Camp : MATHERAN is well known Hill Station of Maharashtra. It is connected by road from Mumbai & Pune. The nearest airports are Mumbai & Pune. The nearest Railway station is NERAL on Central Railway. Private taxis play from Neral to Dasturi Naka. The BASE CAMP at Gokul Villa opposite Matheran Railway Station. One has to walk 2 km to reach the Base Camp. The Matheran Mini Train is closed during monsoon.
