Breif Description Of The Program : Friends! Winter time is upon us. The sour days are shorter, and the moon shines brighter, the cold chilly nights are here again. Our windcheater gets refreshed, we’re celebrating the chill and fun of the Winter Season. YHAI is here with a warm and soothing round trip. The programme is at the most picturesque destination in the Western sea coast of India at the Saurashtra Peninsula. Beyt Dwarka has so much to offer. Enjoy the refreshing breeze of the Great Arabian Sea as you sail across. Feel the warmness along with the thundering breeze of the ocean at the Campsite. Experience the charm of busting Dwarka of Lord Krishna. Enjoy with crystal clear water at the Blue Flag Beach Shivrajpur. Discover the variety of Marine Life. Gujarat is the unique State of India which has the longest seashore, vast desert landscapes of Rann of Kutch, wetlands habitats of Nal Sarovar, fascinating Marine Eco system like Narara Island & Poshitra, moist deciduous forest of Dangs. Once again, we welcome all Youth Hostellers friends from all over India to join the wonderful Exploring the Marine National Park for its wonderful Marine life. The programme is conducted by the Gujarat State Branch and OKHA Unit of YHAI with the support of Gujarat Forest Department and Marine National Park, Jamnagar.
The fascinating underwater world of Marine National Park & Marine Sanctuary.
A total 162.89 Square Kilometers of Marine National Park and 457.92 Square Kilometers of Marine Sanctuary in the Gulf of Kutch offers exotic sightings for people willing to go on an adventure trip in this area. In the Gulf of Kutch, there are 42 islands, out of which 33 islands have coral reefs. There are islands with sandy beaches and mangrove swamps. These islands are a treasure-trove of marine species and a paradise for birdwatchers.
The Marine National Park & Sanctuary has coral reefs, mangroves, sea-grass beds, mudflats, network of creeks and other eco systems which support rich marine life & bird life. Here one has a chance to spot octopus, puffer fish, sea turtles, lobsters, crabs, dolphins, ray fishes, jellyfish, star fish, sea anemones, colorful corals, exotic marine flowering plants, etc.

Purpose Of The Programme: The purpose of this programme is to introduce and understand the ecology and Environment of Marine National Park area, and to explore the cultural and religious glimpses of Gujarat with National Integration.
 
Who Can Participate : Any Member of YHAI above 10 years from all over India can participate on a First come first serve basis. For nonmembers, the Membership will also be available at the time of registration at Base Camp.
 
Day wise Schedule:
Day 1 : Reporting at the Base camp- Beyt -Dwarka after 14-00 PM.
Day 2 : Coastal Trekking and exploring Marine Life. Enjoy Sunset at Beach and Campfire with soft music.
Day 3 : Visit to Nageshwar Temple, Gopi Talav, Shivrajpur Blue Flag Beach and Dwarkadhish temple.
Day 4 : Boat Safari and Closing Ceremony of the programme.

How To Reach The Base Camp : Beyt Dwarka is an Island and connected with the passenger water boats from Okha. Okha (30 Kms from Dwarka, a very famous holy place) is very well connected by Trains with the major parts of the country and Buses with Ahmedabad and Rajkot, Jamnagar. Nearest Airports are Rajkot, Jamnagar and Ahmedabad. Regular State Transport bus service and private luxury buses are available to reach Okha.
 
Accommodation Facilities : Tented Accommodation on sharing basis.
Food & Water Supplies : Simple Vegetarian Nutritious Food will be served.
What Participants Should Bring Along : Light woolen and cotton clothes, sunglasses, Sun Cap, Water Bottle, Mug or Glass, Trekking shoes, Torch, Personal Medicines, Toilet Kit, Camouflage clothes are desirable.
Warning: Carrying Non-bio degradable material in Gujarat is an offence. Smoking, use of Alcohols and Narcotics of any description are strictly prohibited during the programme.

Cancellation Policy :The programme is organised for a one group of 45 members only and there will be no more members. In case any participant cancels the booking, he/she will not be provided with any refund.
