BREIF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM:
Gujarat is the unique State of India that has longest seashore, Holy Somnath and Dwarkadhish Temples, vast desert landscapes of Rann of Kutch, wetlands habitats of Nal Sarovar, fascinating Marine Ecosystem like Pirotan Island, moist deciduous forest of Dangs. Gir is the last and only home of the critically endangered Majestic Asiatic Lion. Once again, we welcome all Youth Hostellers friends from all over India to join the wonderful Exploring the Mount Girnar, Forest of Gir and historical ancient city of Junagadh. The program is conducted by Gujarat State Branch and Junagadh Unit with kind support of the Forest Department. So, experience the once in a lifetime memorable moment with a unique program.
ACCOMMODATION FACILITIES:
Sharing Room accommodation with Hot water facility and western toilet.
FOOD & WATER SUPPLIES:
Simple Vegetarian Nutritious, healthy Food will be served.
WHAT PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BRING ALONG:
Light woolen cloths, Mug, Water Bottle, Torch, Personal Medicines, Toilet Kit, Sanitizer and things you may need during the program. Please bring your own Tiffin box for pack lunch.
Warning: Carrying of non-bio degradable material in Gujarat is an offence. Smoking, use of Alcohols and Narcotics of any description are strictly prohibited during program.
PROGRAM FEE CHARGEABLE TO PARTICIPANT:Â Rs.8500/-Â (Eight Thousand Five Hundred) per Family – Husband, Wife and Two children (Below 12 years)
Rs.2200/-Â (Two Thousand Two Hundred per Extra Family member in the same room)
FEE INCLUSIONS:Â Room accommodation per family consisting of husband, wife and 2 children below 12 years and extra family person above the age of 12 years in the same room, simple nutritious VEGETARIAN food, hot water facility, Junagadh city sightseeing by local transportation.
FEES EXCLUSIONS: Ropeway charges for Mount Girnar, Transport charges, Devaliya Park Safari & Forest entry fees and any other entry fees. The Family can visit the Holy Somnath and Dwarkadhish temples, Shivrajpur Beach, and famous tourist place Devaliya to watch Asiatic Lion at their own cost.
Day-1: Reporting at Junagadh Base Camp. Visit to Mount Girnar by Ropeway (At own cost)
Day-2: Visit to Dwarka, Beyt Dwarka, Shivrajpur Beach, Nageshvar Jyotirling etc. Back to Junagadh.
(Transportation at own cost)
Day-3: Visit to Devaliya Safari Park, Holiday camp and Madhavpur Beach. Night halt at Gir Forest. (Transportation at own cost)
Day-4: Visit to Somnath Jyotirling and Bhalka Tirth (Lord Krishna was mistakenly shot by a hunter named Jara, leading to his departure from the earthly world). (Transportation at own cost) Back to Base Camp and Certificate Distribution
Day-5: Check out after breakfast at 07-00 AM. Visit to Historical Places of Junagadh with history of 5000 years back (Complementary by YHAI). Then back to home.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Any member of YHAI from all over the country can participate.
Membership will also be available at Surat reception. Bring photo copy of Aadhar card, a passport sized photograph and Rs.200/- per membership, if not member.
HOW TO REACH THE BASE CAMP:
Junagadh is very well connected by Train and Buses with Ahmedabad and Rajkot. Nearest Airports are Keshod, Rajkot and Ahmedabad. Regular State Transport buses and private travels buses are available to reach Junagadh.

CANCELLATION RULES:
50 % Fee refunds, if officially informed by email or in hard copy on or before 30/011/2025 to the Program Field Director Sh. Ketanbhai Mehta. After date 30/11/2025, no refund application will be considered.
