After successful completion of Ten trekking expedition programmes in Munnar, Schenduruni and Agasthyamala, Alappuzha and Kovalalm, YHAI Kerala state branch gives another opportunity to explore the story of Muziris starts from early 3000 BC when Babylonians, Assyrians and Egyptians came to the Malabar Coast in search for the spices, Bio -Diversity odAthirappally , Vazhachal , Malakkappara and Visit the major worship places like Guruvayur, Triprayar and Cheraman Masque.

Schedule Of Programme :
Day – 1 : Reporting at Vikas Albertine Animation Centre KottappuramKodungallur 5 PM Orientation and Acclimatization / Training.Camp at Vikas Dormitory Kodungallur
Day – 2 : Heritage Travel (24.08.2024) 9.00.00 AM to 5 PM Boat Travel through the ancient world’s greatest trading centre in the East, this legendary seaport traded in everything from spices to precious stones with the Greeks, Romans and the rest of the world. The Muzirisa project to revive that lost legacy to conserve and showcase a culture of 3000 years or more for posterity. (Visit 1. Paravur Jewish synagogue 2Traditional home of the PaliathuAchans (Prime Ministers to the Kings of Kochi), 3. Sahodaran Ayyappan Museum 4. St. Thomas Church, 5 Church of Our Lady of Snows 6. History of Patanametc.
Camp at Vikas Dormitory
Day – 3 : Nature Explore (25.08.2024 ) 6.30 AM to 8 PM
9.00 AM “Thumboormuzhi Dam and Butterfly Park” (Thumboormuzhi Dam and Butterfly Park are one among the most famous tourist spot to visit in Thrissur. They are located near to each other and it is frequently visited by nature lovers. The butterfly garden is a natural habitat of butterflies and it has about 148 spices)
11.00 AM “Athirappilyand Vazhachal Water Falls
Athirappilly andVazhachalFalls are the most famous waterfalls of Kerala on the Chalakudy River , which originates from the upper reaches of the Western Ghats.
2.30 PM Perigalkuttu Dam
This dam built across the Chalakkudi River for Peringalkuthu Hydro Electric Power Project of Kerala State Electricity Board. The dam is situated in deep forest.
4.00 PM Malakkappara Tea Garden
Malakkappara in Thrissur district is a tea town bordering the neighbouring state of Tamilnadu.

Day – 4 : Worship Travel (26/08/2024) 5.30 AM to 7.30 PM
Visit Guruvayur Temple
(Guruvayur is home to the historic Sree Krishna Temple, called the Dwaraka of the South. It is among the most revered and popular pilgrimage destinations in Kerala and the entire country. The central shrine is believed to have been rebuilt in 1638 C.E. The architectural style and individual elements inside the shrine are beautiful representations of the history of the place..)
Visit Sreeram Temple (Triprayar)
(Thriprayar Shree Ramaswami Temple situated in Triprayar near Guruvayur. It is also known as the Dakshin Ayodhya .)
Visit CheramanJuma Masjid
(Built in AD 629, it is the first mosque in India and the second in the world where Juma prayers were started. Situated just 2 km from Kodungalloor Town, its calm and mystical charm must be experienced if one is in the vicinity).
Visit St. Thomas Church at Palayoor
The St. Thomas Church at Palayoor is the oldest church in India. It was built by St Thomas – the Apostle in A.D.52. St. Thomas, the Apostle arrived in A.D.52 at Crangannur {now Kodungallur} with Jewish merchants for the propagation of Christ’s message and through the sea route reached Palayoor in 52 A.D. and built the Church here.

Safety And Security : Our field volunteers and camp leaders have been visited the area and check the details. While every care has been taken to ensure safety, Youth Hostels Association of India cannot be held responsible for any accident, illness and such other unforeseen eventualities
 
Additional Notes : Use of alcohol and narcotics of any description and smoking are strictly prohibited during the programme. Deviation from the set rout of the programme is not permitted. If participants desire to join any other activity, they may do so at their own responsibility and risk only after finishing the programme and check out.
 
Cancellation Rules : In case you are unable to join the programme after paying participation fee, you will get Rs5250/-as refund provided your request is received at least 10 days in advance from the date of your reporting. No refund will, however, be admissible if such notice is short of 10 days.
