Breif Description Of The Program : Aruku Valley: It is located 114 km from Vishakhapatnam, close to the Odissa State border. The Anantagiri and Sunkarimetta Reserve Forests which are part of Araku Valley is rich in biodiversity. This valley is surrounded by mountains like Galikonda, Raktakonda, Sunkarimetta and Chitamogondi. Galikonda hill rising to a height of 5,000 feet (1,500 m) is one of the highest in Andhra Pradesh. The average rainfall is 1700 mm, bulk of which is received during June–October.
Araku is popular for its famous coffee plantations. India’s first tribal growers’ organic coffee brand was launched in the Araku Valley in 2007. The premium organic “Araku Emerald” brand of coffee sells globally. Thousands of tribal’s in the Agency area are engaged in coffee cultivation as farm hands or small farmers.

Schedule Of Programme :
Day – 1 : Participants have to report at Sunkarametta church/Govt school by 12 noon sharply, After meals Cycling to Mulaberi base camp 9 KM, 07:00 PM Orientation and Instruction. Dinner
Day – 2 : Cycling to Pedalabudu 30km-40 km (Depending on time and weather conditions cycling may be extended to katika waterfalls), Night Halt at Pedalabudu near Eco Tourism.
Day – 3 : Cycling to BIddaguda 30km , Night Halt at hill top and Dhimsa Dance (Depends on availability).
Day – 4 : Cycling to Sunkarametta Church 16 km, after valedictory group will break at Noon.
Who can Participate : Any member of the Association who is physically fit can join the programme.

How To Reach The Base Camp: Participants have to report at Sunkarametta church by 12PM noon, Sunkarametta is connected with all busses reaching Araku, from Visakhapatnam Bus Stand, there are frequent buss to reach Araku
Safety And Security : Extensive and pains taking preparation has gone into the planning of the Trek route. Our experienced field staff and camp leaders have been visiting the area to check all the details. While every care has been taken to ensure your safety & health, the YHAI, AP State Branch cannot be held responsible for any accident, illness and such other unforeseen eventualities.

Cancellation Rules :
In case you are unable to join the trek after paying the participation fee, you will get a refund of Rs 3,500- provided your written request is received directly in the office of YHAI Andhra Pradesh State Branch or by email to “apstateyhai@gmail.com” on or before 28th Jan 2024 No refund will however, be admissible for cancellations received after 28th Jan 2024 5pm. SMS/ Phone calls or WhatsApp shall not be considered for cancellation. Kindly note that in case of cancellation please give bank details to refund by NEFT.
