2. Membership: YHAI membership is mandatory to participate.

How to Reach the Base Camp
 
1. By Air: Nearest airport is Dibrugarh.
2. By Train: Dibrugarh railway station is well-connected by the train network. Participants may select suitable trains.

1. Simple, nutritious, and sumptuous meals (breakfast and dinner).
2. Local cuisine will be served.
 
What to Bring
 
1. Clothing: Shirts, slacks, raincoat, woollen sweaters/jackets, inners, sun cap.
2. Footwear: Trekking shoes, socks.
3. Accessories: Gloves, needle, thread, spare buttons, goggles, cold cream/Vaseline, soap, toilet paper, tissues, and towel.
4. Medicines: Personal medications used at home.
5. Mandatory Documents: Aadhar Card, YHAI Membership Card (soft copy acceptable), Medical Certificate (not older than 30 days).
 
Day Wise Schedule
 
Day 1: 23/09/2025 – Arrival at Dibrugarh and Drive to Pasighat
 
1. Report at Dibrugarh and drive to Pasighat (3-hour drive).
2. Cross the mighty Brahmaputra River and travel through the Brahmaputra River Valley.
3. Drive on a military road down river to Pasighat, a large town on the banks of the Brahmaputra.
4. Witness the Brahmaputra River expanding from a few hundred feet to six miles wide as it exits the mountains onto the Assam plains.
5. Overnight stay in Pasighat.
 
Day 2: 24/09/2025 – Pasighat to Along
 
1. Early breakfast, then drive 120 km to along (4-hour drive).
2. En route, visit Adiminyong tribal village and the Lower and Upper Bari villages.
3. Cross the Yomgo River and hike for one hour to Mobuk village, located on a scenic saddle.
4. Visit Monku village.
5. Overnight stay in Along.
 
Day 3: 25/09/2025 – Along to Daporijo
 
1. Drive 190 km to Daporijo (6-hour drive).
2. Early morning visit to Darka village of the Adi-Gallong tribes.
3. Drive 12 miles to another Adi-Gallong tribal village; explore their cane weaving skills (baskets, hats, breastplates, shields, and cane suspension bridges).
4. Learn about Adi-Gallong weaving and pottery traditions.
5. Overnight stay in Daporijo.
 
Day 4: 26/09/2025 – Daporijo to Ziro
 
1. Drive 163 km to Ziro (5-hour drive).
2. Descend from the Daporijo plateau, traveling along the Upper Seing River valley through dense jungles and picturesque villages of Nishis and Hill Miris tribes.
3. Visit Muri Mugli, a Hill Miris tribe village, and if road conditions permit, continue 8 miles on a mountain dirt road to Noori, a traditional Hill Miris village.
4. Meet the Ghansi sect (short stature, scantily dressed) and the Panibotias sect (tall, well-built) of the Miris.
5. Arrive in Ziro on the banks of the Lower Subansiri River.
6. Overnight stay in Ziro.
 
Day 5 & 6: 27/09/2025 – 28/09/2025 – Explore Ziro Valley and Ziro Music Festival
 
1. Spend two days exploring the Ziro Valley and attending the Ziro Festival of Music, an eco-friendly outdoor music festival showcasing independent music acts from Northeast India and the global indie scene.
2. Organized by the Apatani tribe, the festival blends music, culture, and sustainability.
3. Visit Hong and other Apatani villages; experience their warm hospitality, traditional attire (men with cane girdles and bushy tails, women with large wooden nose plugs), and extensive facial tattoos.
4. Note: Festival dates may change based on local authority requirements.
5. Overnight stay in Ziro.
 
Day 7: 29/09/2025 – Ziro to Majuli Island
 
1. Drive 220 km to Majuli Island (7-hour drive + ferry crossings).
2. Cross local tributaries of the Brahmaputra River by local ferry.
3. Explore Majuli, the world’s largest river island, known for its 15th-century Vaishnavite \”satras\” (Hindu monasteries).
4. Visit satras like Natun Samugri (famous for mask-making) and Kamla Bari (known for boat-making).
5. Overnight stay in Majuli.
 
Day 8: 30/09/2025 – Explore Majuli Island
 
1. Full day to explore Majuli Island and villages of the Miri tribes.
2. Learn about the satras’ traditions of dance, music, poetry, and Assamese arts.
3. Overnight stay in a guest house in Majuli.
 
Day 9: 01/10/2025 – Majuli Island to Mon, Nagaland
 
1. Early morning drive to Mon (5-6 hours).
2. Complete border formalities to enter Nagaland.
3. Visit Phuktong village, featuring two Morungs (men’s dormitories), and the Angh’s (chief’s) residence.
4. Check into a typical Naga house for an overnight stay.
 
Day 10: 02/10/2025 – Explore Mon
 
1. Full day to explore Mon and its surroundings.
2. Overnight stay at Mon.
 
Day 11: 03/10/2025 – Mon to Dibrugarh
 
1. Drive back to Dibrugarh and conclude the program.
