Breif Description Of The Program : Gujarat is the unique State of India which has longest seashore, vast desert landscapes of Rann of Kutch, wet lands habitats of Nal Sarovar, fascinating Marine Eco system like Narara Island & Poshitra, moist deciduous forest of Dangs. Once again, we welcome all Youth Hostellers friends from all over India to join wonderful Exploring the Marine National Park for its wonderful Marine life. The programme is conducted by Jamnagar YHAI Unit with support of Gujarat State Branch and kind support of Gujarat Forest Department and Marine National Park-Jamnagar. We are ready to deliver you life time memorable moments with unique programme.

The fascinating underwater world of Marine National Park & Sanctuary. 162.89 Square Kilometers of Marine National Park and 457.92 Square Kilometers of Marine Sanctuary in the Gulf of Kutch at Jamnagar offers exotic sightings for people willing to go on an adventure trip in this area.

In the Gulf of Kutch, there are 42 islands, out of which 33 islands have coral reef. There are islands with sandy beaches and mangrove swamps. These islands are a treasure-trove of marine species and a paradise for birdwatchers.

The Marine National Park & Sanctuary has coral reefs, mangroves, sea-grass beds, mudflats, network of creeks and other ecosystems which supports rich marine life & bird life. Here one has chance to spot octopus, puffer fish, sea turtles, lobsters, crabs, dolphins, ray fishes, jelly fish, star fish, sea anemones, colorful corals, exotic marine flowering plants, etc.

Purpose Of The Programme: The purpose of this programme is to introduce and understand the ecology of Marine Park area, and to expose the cultural and religious glimpses of Gujarat with National Integration.
 
Who Can Participate:Any YHAI Member from All over India can participants on First come first serve basis. Anyone can become a member of YHAI at the time of reporting with the submission of registration form, Identity document with membership fees of Rs. 200/ for one year. Online membership is also available on www.yhaindia.org
 
Day wise Schedule:
Day 1 : Reporting at Jamnagar by 11am. (Place will be mentioned later on)Lunch and Orientation, briefing about the programme. Bird watching session at Lakhota Lake in Jamnagar city in the evening.
Day 2 : Early morning visit to Narara Island- a Part of the India’s first Marine National Park. Trekking in coastal area of the Island. Afternoon journey to Beyt Dwarka by bus. Trek to Hanuman Dandi and Dunny Point at Beyt Dwarka and Night halt.
Day 3 : Early morning trekking at famous Blue Flag Beach Shivrajpur. Visit to Dwarkadhish temple and local site seeing in Dwarka. Back to Jamnagar by evening.
Day 4 : Early morning Bird watching at world famous Khijadia Bird Sanctuary. (approx. 20 kms from Jamnagar). Camp breaks after Lunch.

How To Reach The Base Camp : JAMNAGAR is very well connected by Train and Bus with Ahmadabad and Rajkot and major cities of India. Nearest Airports are Jamnagar, Rajkot and Ahmadabad. Regular State Transport Bus service and private travels buses are available to reach at Jamnagar.
 
Accommodation Facilities : Dormitory/Tented Accommodations.
Food & Water Supplies : Simple Vegetarian Nutritious, healthy Food can serve.
What Participants Should Bring Along : Light cloths, Mug, Lunch box, sunglasses, Water Bottle, Trekking shoe, Torch, Personal Medicines, Toilet Kit, Camouflage cloths desirable.
Warning: Carrying of Non-bio degradable material in Gujarat is an offence. Smoking, use of Alcohols and Narcotics of any description are strictly prohibited during programme.
