Schedule Of Programme :
Day – 1 : Reporting at Munnar Forest IB 2 PM
5 PM Orientation and Acclimatization / Training. Camp at Forest Dormitory Munnar.
Day – 2 : 10.00 AM Bio Diversity of Western Ghats (Class with Slideshow)
Munnar’s forests are categorized into three types – tropical evergreen, semi-evergreen, and shola forests. Each forest type has a distinctive mix of flora, adding to the biodiversity of the region. The shola forests in Munnar are a unique ecosystem home to several rare and endangered species.
2.00 PM to 4.30 PM Visit Eravikulam National Park
The Eravikulam National Park in Munnar is a protected area home to several endemic species. The park has been instrumental in conserving the Nilgiritahr, which was on the brink of extinction at one point. Visitors to the park can take guided tours to witness the stunning landscapes, unique ecosystem, and diverse wildlife.

Day – 3 : 8.00 AM Transfer to Marayur
9.00 AM “ Marayur Sandal (Class with Sildshow)
Marayoor is a natural sandalwood forest in Kerala. So attractive and useful are these forests that even the memories carry a sweet fragrance. Sandalwood oil, popularly called as “liquid gold,” has always been a fascination for tourists from across the globe. Sandalwood sculptures, though expensive, are also a popular souvenir item of Kerala.
11 AM to 4 PM Visit Sandal Forest, Marayur Caves (Muniyara), Jiggery Units
6.00 PM Return
Camp at Forest Dormitory Munnar
Day – 4 : 10.00 AM Group disbursed after Break fast

Air : The nearest airport is Cochin International airport 120 Kms.
 
Safety And Security : Our field volunteers and camp leaders have been visited the area and check the details. While every care has been taken to ensure safety, Youth Hostels Association of India cannot be held responsible for any accident, illness and such other unforeseen eventualities

Additional Notes : Use of alcohol and narcotics of any description and smoking are strictly prohibited during the programme. Deviation from the set rout of the programme is not permitted. If participants desire to join any other activity, they may do so at their own responsibility and risk only after finishing the programme and check out.
 
Cancellation Rules :
In case you are unable to join the programme after paying participation fee, you will get Rs2250/-as refund provided your request is received at least 10 days in advance from the date of your reporting. No refund will, however, be admissible if such notice is short of 10 days.
