Day Wise Schedule
Dalhousie Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Reporting at Base Camp – Youth Hostel Dalhousie
Participants are required to report at the designated base camp located in the scenic town of Dalhousie. Settle in, complete registration, and get ready for the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Acclimatization and Training Day
A day dedicated to acclimatization walks, orientation sessions, and basic trekking training to help participants adjust to the altitude and environment.
Day 3: Trek from Base Camp to Kalatop
Begin the trekking expedition with a scenic hike through pine forests and meadows as you ascend to the Kalatop camp.
Day 4: Kalatop to Khajjiar Camp
Embark on a beautiful trek to the famous mini-Switzerland of India – Khajjiar. Enjoy panoramic views and lush landscapes along the way.
Day 5: Khajjiar to Mangla Camp
Continue the journey through serene trails leading to the Mangla camp, surrounded by natural beauty and peaceful terrain.
Day 6: Transfer to Base Camp Dalhousie
After breakfast transfer by bus from Mangla camp to Base Camp. Certificate Distribution and Recreation Activity & Check out after lunch.
IMPORTANT: Please read all the instructions regarding the program carefully before booking the same (including the cancellation policy).
In case of Hard snow on the summit due to low temperature, participants are required to bring gaiters, microspics and trekking poles or the same can be rented from the local market at the nearby base camp.

In case of hard snow at the summit due to freezing temperatures, participants must carry gaiters, microspikes & trekking poles 🥾❄️. Don’t worry — you can rent them at the base camp market if needed!
👣 Who Can Join?
YHAI Members aged 18 to 60 years only! ✅ Trekking Medical Certificate is mandatory. No exceptions for underage or overage participants.

Online Booking:
1. Members who wish to join this exciting adventure can register online through our official website: https://www.yhaindia.org by paying the program fee.
💳 Accepted Payment Modes:
We accept UPI, Net Banking, Debit Cards, and Credit Cards for all online bookings, ensuring a secure and seamless transaction process.
📄 Post-Booking Requirements:
Upon successful payment, an Admit Card will be automatically generated. Participants are required to carry the following documents at the time of reporting to the Base Camp:
1. ✅ Printed Admit Card
2. ✅ Original Trekking Medical Certificate (issued within 30 days)
3. ✅ Valid YHAI Membership Card (printout acceptable)
4. ✅ Two recent passport-size photographs
Ensure all documents are ready for verification to avoid inconvenience at the base camp.

📝 Offline Booking Procedure
Members who wish to register offline for the program can do so by submitting the following:

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Method:
1) Participants booked online will do online cancellation at least 10 days prior to their reporting date.
2) Participants booked offline will inform their cancellation by email to trekking@yhaindia.org minimum 10 days prior to their reporting date.
Only cancellation done as per above method will be eligible for credit shell/refund. The below cancellation policy will however not be applicable if the request reaches short of 10 days prior to the reporting date and shall not be eligible for credit shell/refund.
Cancellation Policy:
The Participant, who cancels the programme by serving request minimum 10 days prior to his/her reporting date as per above terms and conditions of “Cancellation Method”, is eligible to get the credit shell or refund as follows:
(a) Credit Shell:-
1) In case you are unable to join the programme due to any reason, you will get a 100% Credit Shell of the participation fees which will be valid till December 2025.
2) If the next programme opted by you is cheaper, you may use the balance amount in any of the Trek till Dec 2025.
3) If the next opted programme is costlier, the trekker has to pay the differential amount.
4) Program opted using the Credit Shell cannot be cancelled again.
5) You may transfer your seat to your family members and friends also. The seats thus transferred cannot be retransferred or cancelled.
6) The credit shell can only be used in booking of adventure programs organized by YHAI. The credit shell will not be used in taking memberships and hostel bookings.
OR
(b) Refund:-
Participants can opt for a 50% refund instead of 100% credit shell if they wish to. The conditions of “Cancellation Method” will be the same as mentioned above. The participant has to inform either offline or online minimum 10 days prior to his reporting date. If the request reaches short of 10 days prior to the reporting date the refund request shall not be considered.
Note: If any program will be cancelled due to Natural Calamity / Government Restriction / Cancellation of Permission or any other reasons, YHAI will be accountable only for program fees and not other expenses which participants have made for joining the program. In these circumstances the decision for participation fees will be considered by the YHAI and will be bound to all.
