PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAME: The purpose of the programme to expose the YHAI members to a greater height and inculcate among them a spirit for adventure and love for nature and outdoor, thus promoting national integration in the true sense.

Hill Station Sanasar is blessed with bountiful Nature. It has a mountain top lake, very large meadows, multiple snowclad mountain ranges, numerous spring waters, streams, waterfalls, golf course, ancient temple, Devdar trees of 150 feet height, Raja Shankhpal Peak (10,000 ft.) for trekking in nut shell, Sanasar is an ideal place for camping and adventure activities.

HOW TO REACH THE BASE CAMP:
 
Regular bus services on sharing bases are available from ISBT Kashmiri Gate and Red fort to Jammu & Udhampur. Nearest Railway Station is Udhampur (UHP) and nearest Airport is Jammu (IXJ).

ACCOMMODATION FACILITIES: Participants will be accommodated in tents at base camp. The accommodation will be on sharing basis.

FOOD:

Vegetarian, Healthy & Nutritious Food will be served during the program.
 
Instructions to Participants:
 

  1. Smoking, use of alcohol and narcotics of any description is strictly prohibited during the course of the program.
  2. Stay other than YHAI Camp is not allowed for the entire duration of the camp.
  3. This is an environment friendly camping. Do no litter any wrappers or spoil the trial in any way. In case you find any wrapper, plastic bag or anything left on the way, please carry the same with you and deposit at the base camp.
  4. Burning of wood during camp fire is strictly prohibited. Import of any bio Non- degradable Material in Jammu and Kashmir is an offence
  5. You can book program without membership; but membership is mandatory at the time of reporting at base camp
  6. Participants are expected to behave cordially with each other and staff & volunteers. Any misbehaviour will be a cause for check-out from camp.
  7. Accommodation will be provided on sharing basis

Safety & Supplies:

Pack: Rucksack (if available), cotton shirt/trousers, woollens, jacket, gloves, raincoat, hunter, shoes, woollen socks, hand gloves, torch with spare batteries, water bottle, lunch box, mug/tumbler, plate, spoon, water purifying tablets, pen knife, needle/thread, spare buttons, goggles, cold cream/Vaseline, soap, toilet paper, towel, personal meds, camera (extra batteries).

Day Wise Schedule

 

REPORITNG AT P Y RESORTS SANASAR AT 1: 00 PM

Day 1– Arrival by afternoon, Registration & Allocation of accommodation, local sightseeing (ancient Nag temple, lake, main meadow, etc.), Star gazing, Night Campfire.

Day 2- Visit to Sun Rise point, Yoga, Introduction to scientific meditation, Short Trek to Bhim Waterfall, archery, Night Camp Fire and cultural program by participants.

Day 3- Yoga, Meditation, Survival Camp, Water Ball Zorbing, Boating in lake, Night Camp Fire and cultural program by participants.

Day 4- Yoga, Meditation, Short trek to Gali, village visit & interaction with locals, lecture on life learning skills, Night Camp Fire and cultural program by participants.

Day 5- Yoga, Meditation, Cleanliness drive, experience sharing & departure.

Facts

MANDATORY:
 Trekking Medical Certificate will be compulsory at the time of reporting only (with 30 days of validity) duly signed by registered Medical Practitioner (MBBS / MD only) along with his registration no. and stamp. (Soft copy of medical certificate will not be accepted)

 
HOW TO JOIN:
 
Online Booking: Members desirous of joining this programme may apply online though website: www.yhaindia.org by paying requisite program fee Rs. 6800/- .

We accept Net Banking, Debit Card and Credit Card payment on www.yhaindia.org for online payments.

After successful transaction Admit Card will be generated. Participant has to carry “Admit Card”, “Trekking Medical Certificate” & “Membership Card, two passport size photographs at the time of reporting to the Base Camp.
 
Offline Booking: Members desirous of joining this programme may apply on the prescribed “Trekking Registration Form” duly supported by a “Trekking Medical Certificate”, along with a Demand Draft of requisite amount of Rs.6800/- in favour of “Youth Hostels Association of India” payable at New Delhi. The Trekking registration Form, Trekking Medical Form and Demand Draft may be sent to following address:

All Offline Booking confirmation is subject to availability of seats. National Office will send the Admit Card along with confirmation letter to the participant at the address mentioned in “Trekking Registration Form”.

1. JUSTICE T.P.S CHAWLA MEMORIAL ADVENTURE SCHOLARSHIP FOR GIRLS

For underprivileged girls for participation in YHAI adventure activities. Girls whose family income is less than Rs.100000/- p.a. can avail this scholarship. Applicant has to submit the salary certificate of their parents. In case of Business, she has to submit their income on an affidavit. Deserving participants may apply to the National Office YHAI supported by relevant document / certificates.

2 Off the beaten SIDDHARTH SCHOLARSHIP for underprivileged Young Men & Women

YHAI announced 50% Off the Beaten Track Siddhartha Scholarship of the program fee to provide underprivileged Young Men & Women less than 30 years of age with an opportunity to participate in outdoor adventure activities/ programs by YHAI in various parts of the country. Underprivileged Young Men & Women whose family income is less than Rs. 250000/- p.a can avail this scholarship by applying to the National Office YHAI supported by relevant document/ certificates through their respective State Branch.

Cancellation Policy
 
 
Cancellation Method:
 
Participants booked online will do online cancellation minimum 10 days prior to your reporting date.

Participants booked offline will inform their cancellation by email to trekking@yhaindia.org minimum 10 days prior to your reporting date.

Only cancellation done as per above method will be eligible for credit shell/refund. The below cancellation policy will however not be applicable if the request reaches short of 10 days prior to the reporting date and shall not be eligible for credit shell/refund.
 
Cancellation Policy:
 
The Participant, who cancels the programme by serving request minimum 10 days prior to his/her reporting date as per above terms and conditions of “Cancellation Method”, is eligible to get the credit shell or refund as follows:

 
(a) Credit Shell:-

 
In case you are unable to join the programme due to any reason, you will get a 100% Credit Shell of the participation fees which will be valid till 31st December 2026.

If the next programme opted by you is cheaper, you may use the balance amount in any of the Trek till Dec 2026.

If the next opted programme is costlier, the trekker has to pay the differential amount.

Program opted using the Credit Shell cannot be cancelled again.

You may transfer your seat to your family members and friends also. The seats thus transferred cannot be retransferred or cancelled.

The credit shell can only be used in booking of adventure programs organized by YHAI. The credit shell will not be used in taking memberships and hostel bookings.

(b) Refund:-
 
Participants can opt for a 50% refund instead of 100% credit shell if they wish to. The conditions of “Cancellation Method” will be the same as mentioned above. The participant has to inform either offline or online minimum 10 days prior to his reporting date. If the request reaches short of 10 days prior to the reporting date the refund request shall not be considered.

Note: If any program will be cancelled due to Natural Calamity / Government Restriction / Cancellation of Permission or any other reasons, YHAI will be accountable only for program fees and not other expenses which participants have made for joining the program. In these circumstances the decision for participation fees will be considered by the YHAI and will be bound to all.
