YHAI has been organizing affordable adventure programs for over 50 years, bringing together people from all walks of life.

🎉 Launched as part of the Silver Jubilee of YHAI National Trekking in 1995, the Family Camping Program offers a unique outdoor experience for families.
📍 Location: Kullu, Himachal Pradesh
🏞️ Base Camp Altitude: ~4,000 ft
 
🕐 Duration: 4 Nights / 5 Days
 
💰 Fee: ₹6,500 (Husband & Wife)
 
1. Husband and Wife only – Rs.6500/-

2. If children is below 12 years of age – Rs.1000/- per child

3. If children are above 12 years of age – Rs.2000/- per child

🚍 How to Reach Base Camp:
 

  1. By Road: Regular buses from Delhi, Chandigarh & Punjab to Kullu.
  2. By Train: Nearest stations – Ambala & Chandigarh
  3. By Air: Nearest airport – Bhuntar
  4. 🚌 All buses to Manali pass through Seobagh (Base Camp).

⚠️ Important Rules:
 

  1. ❌ No schedule deviation or outside stay during the program
  2. 🌿 Eco-friendly camp – No littering. Dump waste at base camp
  3. 🚿 No washing of clothes at the camp
  4. 🔥 No wood burning
  5. 🚭 No smoking, alcohol, or drugs
  6. ⚖️ YHAI is not liable for personal accidents or incidents

📄 Mandatory at Reporting:
 
Bring the following documents – no entry without these:

  1. ✅ Original Trekking Medical Certificate (issued within 30 days, signed by Allopathic MBBS/MD with stamp & reg. no.)
  2. 🪪 Admit Card
  3. 🪪 YHAI Membership Card
  4. 🖼️ 2 Passport-size Photos
  5. 🆔 2 Xerox Copies of ID Proof

⚠️ No participation will be allowed without the above documents.
 
📢 Important Guidelines for Participants:
 

  1. 🚷 Stick to the schedule – No personal deviations allowed during the camp.
  2. 🏕️ Stay only at YHAI Camp – No outside accommodation permitted.
  3. 🌱 Eco-Friendly Camp –
  4. Do not litter – carry waste to base camp & dispose properly.
  5. ❌ Washing clothes at camp is not allowed
  6. 🔥 No burning of wood for campfire
  7. 🛍️ Carrying non-biodegradable items is a punishable offense in Himachal Pradesh
  8. 🚭 Strictly Prohibited:
  9. ❌ Smoking
  10. ❌ Alcohol
  11. ❌ Drugs/narcotics

  1. ✔️ All routes and logistics are well-researched & pre-checked by field staff.
  2. 🔐 YHAI ensures safety but is not liable for accidents, illness, or unforeseen events.

Cancellation Policy
 

 
Cancellation Method:
 
1) Participants booked online will do online cancellation at least 10 days prior to their reporting date.

2) Participants booked offline will inform their cancellation by email to trekking@yhaindia.org minimum 10 days prior to their reporting date.

Only cancellation done as per above method will be eligible for credit shell/refund. The below cancellation policy will however not be applicable if the request reaches short of 10 days prior to the reporting date and shall not be eligible for credit shell/refund.
 
Cancellation Policy:
 
The Participant, who cancels the programme by serving request minimum 10 days prior to his/her reporting date as per above terms and conditions of “Cancellation Method”, is eligible to get the credit shell or refund as follows:

(a) Credit Shell:-

1) In case you are unable to join the programme due to any reason, you will get a 100% Credit Shell of the participation fees which will be valid till December 2026.

2) If the next programme opted by you is cheaper, you may use the balance amount in any of the Trek till Dec 2026.

3) If the next opted programme is costlier, the trekker has to pay the differential amount.

4) Program opted using the Credit Shell cannot be cancelled again.

5) You may transfer your seat to your family members and friends also. The seats thus transferred cannot be retransferred or cancelled.

6) The credit shell can only be used in booking of adventure programs organised by YHAI. The credit shell will not be used in taking memberships and hostel bookings.

OR

(b) Refund:-

Participants can opt for a 50% refund instead of 100% credit shell if they wish to. The conditions of “Cancellation Method” will be the same as mentioned above. The participant has to inform either offline or online minimum 10 days prior to his reporting date. If the request reaches short of 10 days prior to the reporting date the refund request shall not be considered.

Note: If any program will be cancelled due to Natural Calamity / Government Restriction / Cancellation of Permission or any other reasons, YHAI will be accountable only for program fees and not other expenses which participants have made for joining the program. In these circumstances the decision for participation fees will be considered by the YHAI and will be bound to all.
