This 7-day trek offers the perfect mix of acclimatization, adventure, scenic beauty, and basic trekking skills—ideal for both beginners and experienced trekkers.

The trek then moves through peaceful forest trails and scenic campsites from Sankri Base to Akondi and then to Bhoj Gadi, with stunning views and gradually increasing altitude. The most unforgettable part of the journey is the walk along the Phulara Ridge, one of the most beautiful ridge trails in the Himalayas, reaching up to 12,400 ft, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking 360° mountain views.

The Phulara Ridge Trek is located in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand, India. The journey begins from the beautiful mountain village of Sankri / Netwar in the Uttarkashi district, which lies inside the Govind Pashu Vihar National Park & Sanctuary. This region is known for its dense forests, alpine meadows, snow-covered peaks, and rich Himalayan wildlife.

The route passes through picturesque campsites like Akondi, Bhoj Gadi, and Pushtara, leading to the breathtaking Phulara Ridge at an altitude of 12,400 ft, offering spectacular 360° views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges.

How to Reach Base Camp 🚗✈️

  1. By Air: Nearest airport – Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun
  2. By Road: Well-connected to Mussoorie (via buses/taxis from Dehradun).

Day Wise Schedule

Day 1: Arrival at YHAI Base Camp, Shankri / Netwar. ReportingKick-start adventure in the lap of the Himalayas.Report at the scenic YHAI Base Camp Complete your registration, settle in, and prepare for an unforgettable trekking journey.

Day 2: Acclimatization, Orientation & Training. Get trek-ready amidst serene surroundings.

Begin your day with a short acclimatization walk to adapt to the altitude. Participate in orientation sessions to learn about the trek route, gear essentials, altitude challenges, and safety protocols.

Day 3: Trek from (shankri) Base to Akondi camp. Distance: 6 k.m.Duration: 5 hours 9,400 ft.

Day 4: Trek from Akondi camp to Bhoj Gadi camp. Distance: 5 km, Duration: 6 hours 11,200 ft.

Day 5: Trek from Bhoj Gadi camp to Pushtara 9900 ft. via Phulara ridge summit.

Trek Distance: 9 km, Duration: 6-7 hours, Altitude via summit 12,400 ft.

Day 6: Trek from Pushtara camp to Taluka. And transport to Base Camp

Distance: 8 km, Duration: 6-7 hours, travel time : Apx.2 hours

Day 7: Check out after breakfast from base camp

Facts

🥶 Important Gear Alert!In case of hard snow at the summit due to freezing temperatures, participants must carry gaiters, microspikes & trekking poles 🥾❄️. Don’t worry — you can rent them at the base camp market if needed!

👣 Who Can Join?

YHAI Members aged 18 to 60 years only! ✅ Trekking Medical Certificate is mandatory. No exceptions for underage or overage participants.

Online Booking:

💳 Accepted Payment Modes:

We accept UPI, Net Banking, Debit Cards, and Credit Cards for all online bookings, ensuring a secure and seamless transaction process.

📄 Post-Booking Requirements:

Upon successful payment, an Admit Card will be automatically generated. Participants are required to carry the following documents at the time of reporting to the Base Camp:

  1. ✅ Printed Admit Card
  2. ✅ Original Trekking Medical Certificate (issued within 30 days)
  3. ✅ Valid YHAI Membership Card (printout acceptable)
  4. ✅ Two recent passport-size photographs

Ensure all documents are ready for verification to avoid inconvenience at the base camp.

📝 Offline Booking Procedure
Members who wish to register offline for the program can do so by submitting the following:

Cancellation Policy

✅ Cancellation Method:

1️⃣ Participants booked online will do online cancellation minimum 10 days prior to your reporting date.

2️⃣ Participants booked offline will inform their cancellation by email to 📧 trekking@yhaindia.org minimum 10 days prior to your reporting date.

⚠️ Only cancellation done as per above method will be eligible for credit shell/refund. The below cancellation policy will however not be applicable if the request reaches short of 10 days prior to the reporting date and shall not be eligible for credit shell/refund.

📜 Cancellation Policy:

The Participant, who cancels the programme by serving request minimum 10 days prior to his/her reporting date as per above terms and conditions of “Cancellation Method”, is eligible to get the credit shell or refund as follows:

(a) Credit Shell:-

✔️ In case you are unable to join the programme due to any reason, you will get a 100% Credit Shell of the participation fees which will be valid till 31st December 2026.

✔️ If the next programme opted by you is cheaper, you may use the balance amount in any of the Trek till Dec 2026.

✔️ If the next opted programme is costlier, the trekker has to pay the differential amount.

⛔ Program opted using the Credit Shell cannot be cancelled again.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 You may transfer your seat to your family members and friends also. The seats thus transferred cannot be retransferred or cancelled.

🎯 The credit shell can only be used in booking of adventure programs organised by YHAI. The credit shell will not be used in taking memberships and hostel bookings.

(b) Refund:-

💵 Participants can opt for a 50% refund instead of 100% credit shell if they wish to. The conditions of “Cancellation Method” will be the same as mentioned above. The participant has to inform either offline or online minimum 10 days prior to his reporting date. If the request reaches short of 10 days prior to the reporting date the refund request shall not be considered.

📝 Note: If any program will be cancelled due to 🌪️ Natural Calamity / 🏛️ Government Restriction / ❌ Cancellation of Permission or any other reasons, YHAI will be accountable only for program fees and not other expenses which participants have made for joining the program. In these circumstances the decision for participation fees will be considered by the YHAI and will be bound to all.
