Located at 12,190 ft, Chanderkani offers breathtaking views of snow-clad peaks like Tiger Thatch, Ali Ratni, Inderasan, and Priyadarshini Range.

This trek is one of the most popular routes in the Shivalik Range.

Facts

Notice to Participants:

🚫 Prohibited Activities:

  1. No smoking, alcohol, or narcotics during the program.
  2. Stay only at YHAI camps (no outside stays allowed).
  3. Eco-friendly trek:Β Don’t litter. If you find waste, carry it and deposit it at the base camp. 🌱
  4. No burning of wood for campfires. πŸ”₯

Food & Accommodation πŸ½οΈπŸ•οΈ:

  1. Simple, nutritious vegetarian meals will be provided.
  2. Tented accommodation on a sharing basis.

Safety & Security πŸ”’:

  1. The trek is well-planned for your safety, but YHAI, its staff, and volunteers are not responsible for accidents or unforeseen events.

What to Bring 🧳:

  1. Rucksack, woolens, cotton clothes, sun cap, shoes, socks
  2. Enameled or steel mug, plate, lunch box, spoon
  3. Water purifying tablets, pen knife, needle & thread, spare buttons
  4. Goggles, cold cream/Vaseline, soap, toilet paper, towel
  5. Rain sheet, personal medicines (e.g. paracetamol, cough lozenges, etc.), camera with extra batteries.

Certificates πŸŽ–οΈ:

  1. Participants who successfully complete the trek and follow program rules will receive certificates.

  1. YHAI membership card/receipt, admit card, original medical certificate, and 2 passport-size photos are mandatory to enter the base camp.

Special Casual Leave 🏒:

  1. Participants working in Central Govt. Organizations can apply for special casual leave (up to 30 days) for the trek.

Scholarships πŸŽ“:

  1. Justice T.P.S. Chawla Scholarship (Underprivileged Girls):
  2. For girls with family income under β‚Ή1,00,000 p.a.
  3. Submit salary certificate or affidavit if from business.
  4. Off the Beaten Siddharth Scholarship (Underprivileged Youth under 30):
  5. 50% scholarship for young men and women with family income under β‚Ή2,50,000 p.a.
  6. Apply through respective State Branch with relevant documents.

Cancellation Policy

βœ…Β Cancellation Method:

1️⃣ Participants booked online will do online cancellation minimum 10 days prior to your reporting date.

2️⃣ Participants booked offline will inform their cancellation by email to πŸ“§Β trekking@yhaindia.orgΒ minimum 10 days prior to your reporting date.

⚠️ Only cancellation done as per above method will be eligible for credit shell/refund. The below cancellation policy will however not be applicable if the request reaches short of 10 days prior to the reporting date and shall not be eligible for credit shell/refund.

πŸ“œΒ Cancellation Policy:

The Participant, who cancels the programme by serving request minimum 10 days prior to his/her reporting date as per above terms and conditions ofΒ  “Cancellation Method”, is eligible to get the credit shell or refund as follows:

(a) Credit Shell:-

βœ”οΈ In case you are unable to join the programme due to any reason, you will get a 100% Credit Shell of the participation fees which will be valid till 31st December 2026.

βœ”οΈ If the next programme opted by you is cheaper, you may use the balance amount in any of the Trek till Dec 2026.

βœ”οΈ If the next opted programme is costlier, the trekker has to pay the differential amount.

β›” Program opted using the Credit Shell cannot be cancelled again.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ You may transfer your seat to your family members and friends also. The seats thus transferred cannot be retransferred or cancelled.

🎯 The credit shell can only be used in booking of adventure programs organised by YHAI. The credit shell will not be used in taking memberships and hostel bookings.

OR

(b) Refund:-

πŸ’΅ Participants can opt for a 50% refund instead of 100% credit shell if they wish to. The conditions of β€œCancellation Method” will be the same as mentioned above. The participant has to inform either offline or online minimum 10 days prior to his reporting date. If the request reaches short of 10 days prior to the reporting date the refund request shall not be considered.

πŸ“Β Note:Β If any program will be cancelled due to πŸŒͺ️ Natural Calamity / πŸ›οΈ Government Restriction / ❌ Cancellation of Permission or any other reasons, YHAI will be accountable only for program fees and not other expenses which participants have made for joining the program. In these circumstances the decision for participation fees will be considered by the YHAI and will be bound to all.
