Overview:

Embark on the Roli Kholi Snow Trek near Deo Tibba Base, in the heart of Manali! 🏔️ This trek offers:

Participate Information

Who can Participate:

The minimum age for a member to join the program is 18 to 60 Years. YHAI membership is mandatory to participate. This condition will be adhered to strictly. Underage and above age will not be considered in any case. Members desirous of joining this programme may apply online, duly supported by a “Trekking Medical Certificate”.

Special Allowance Cases:

In the special case, if the person is medically fit and a regular trekker, then they can be allowed in offline mode (decision will be final only on management discretion and seat availability). In this case, he/she has to produce an Indemnity bond available on the website and has to submit the same along with their Registration form.

How to Participate:

Online Booking: Members desirous of joining this programme may apply online by paying the requisite program fee along with the online booking amount, i.e. Rs 7500/- per head. We accept Net Banking, Debit Card and Credit Card payments on www.yhaindia.org for online payments. After a successful transaction Admit Card will be generated.

Participant has to carry “Admit Card”, “Trekking Medical Certificate” & “Membership Card”(Print out of membership card may also be accepted) at the time of reporting to the Base Camp.

Offline Booking: Members desirous of joining this programme may apply on the prescribed “Trekking Registration Form”, duly supported by a “Trekking Medical Certificate”, along with a Demand Draft of the requisite amount of Rs 7500/- .in favour of “Youth Hostels Association of India” payable at New Delhi. The Trekking registration Form, Trekking Medical Form and Demand Draft may be sent to the following address:

Note: Seat once booked may not be rescheduled or transferred. A medical certificate will be submitted at the Base camp. (The medical certificate will be valid only for 30 days from the date of issuance.)

All Offline Booking confirmations are subject to the availability of seats. The National Office will send the Admit Card along with a confirmation letter to the participant at the address mentioned in the “Trekking Registration Form”. Members can also apply through our YHAI Units or State Branches in their respective areas.

MANDATORY: Trekking Medical Certificate will be compulsory at the time of reporting only (with 30 days of validity ), duly signed by a registered Medical Practitioner (MBBS / MD only) along with his registration number and stamp.

Important Note- Participants are requested to bring below documents at the time of reporting at the base camp.

Day Wise Schedule

Day 1: Arrival at YHAI Base Camp, Seobagh (4,200 feet). Begin your journey by reporting at the YHAI Base Camp at Seobagh, located conveniently in the Kullu Valley near the Beas River bank.

Day 2: Acclimatisation

After check-in, enjoy the second day concludes with an acclimatisation walk in the beautiful surroundings to prepare for the trek ahead orientation session where you’ll get an overview of the trek, essential gear, high altitude sickness and safety protocols.

Day 3: Transport to Sethan Village and then trek to Kooki Nala Camp (9,600 feet). The day starts with a scenic drive from the base camp to Sethan Village. From there, your adventure truly begins as you trek to Kooki Nala Camp. This 4-kilometre trail introduces you to dense alpine forests and an enchanting wilderness that sets the tone for the trek ahead.

Day 4: Trek from Kooki Nala to Lamadough Camp (10,200 feet)

Today’s 7-kilometre trek leads you higher through beautiful meadows and dense forests, ultimately arriving at the Lamadough Camp. At this altitude, expect cooler temperatures and a blanket of snow as you immerse yourself in breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks.

Day 5: Trek from Lamadough to Roli Kholi Camp (12,000 feet)

As you ascend toward Roli Kholi, the landscape transitions into open snowfields, offering panoramic views of Deo Tibba and the surrounding Himalayan range of Pir Panjal & DhaulaDhar.

This 6-kilometre trek is moderately challenging, but the reward is Heart-Warming

As you set up camp amidst some of the most captivating snowy landscapes on the trek.

Day 6: Exploration Day at Roli Kholi Camp and return to Sarotu Camp

This day is dedicated to exploring the incredible surroundings of Roli Kholi.

Hike to scenic viewpoints, witness the grandeur of Deo Tibba, and capture the beauty of the snow-covered mountains, while rolling/sliding on the Snow

The day is ideal for reflection, photography, and revelling in the raw beauty of the Himalayas, and after lunch, the descent begins with a scenic trek back down to Srotu Camp.

Covering approximately 4 kilometres, the trail winds through snow-laden forests and past frozen streams, bringing a different perspective to the journey as you descend through the summer wonderland.

Day 7: Trek from Srotu to Jobri Nala (9,300 feet) and Return to Base Camp

The last leg of the trek leads you to Jobri Nala, where you’ll be transported back to Seobagh Base Camp. Celebrate the completion of an exhilarating trek, exchange stories, and bid farewell to new friends as you return to base camp.

Day 8: Departure after Breakfast with memories of a unique summer adventure, you’ll check out after breakfast, marking the end of this memorable experience

 
Facts

Notice to Participants

  1. 🚭 No smoking, alcohol, or narcotics allowed during the program.
  2. 🛑 Stay only at YHAI camps for the entire duration.
  3. 🌱 Environment-friendly trek: Carry back any litter, including wrappers and plastic bags.
  4. 🔥 No wood burning during campfires.

Food: Simple, nutritious vegetarian meals 🍲🌱

Accommodation: Tented, shared accommodation ⛺

  4. 📸 Camera (extra batteries)
  5. 🧼 Soap, toilet paper, towel, cold cream, etc.

Certificates: Awarded upon successful completion and adherence to program rules 🎓

Special Casual Leave:

  1. Government employees can apply for special casual leave up to 30 days for the trek. 🏢

Cancellation Policy

✅ Cancellation Method:

1️⃣ Participants booked online will do online cancellation minimum 10 days prior to your reporting date.

2️⃣ Participants booked offline will inform their cancellation by email to 📧 trekking@yhaindia.org minimum 10 days prior to your reporting date.

⚠️ Only cancellation done as per above method will be eligible for credit shell/refund. The below cancellation policy will however not be applicable if the request reaches short of 10 days prior to the reporting date and shall not be eligible for credit shell/refund.

📜 Cancellation Policy:

The Participant, who cancels the programme by serving request minimum 10 days prior to his/her reporting date as per above terms and conditions of “Cancellation Method”, is eligible to get the credit shell or refund as follows:

(a) Credit Shell:-

✔️ In case you are unable to join the programme due to any reason, you will get a 100% Credit Shell of the participation fees which will be valid till 31st December 2026.

✔️ If the next programme opted by you is cheaper, you may use the balance amount in any of the Trek till Dec 2026.

✔️ If the next opted programme is costlier, the trekker has to pay the differential amount.

⛔ Program opted using the Credit Shell cannot be cancelled again.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 You may transfer your seat to your family members and friends also. The seats thus transferred cannot be retransferred or cancelled.

🎯 The credit shell can only be used in booking of adventure programs organised by YHAI. The credit shell will not be used in taking memberships and hostel bookings.

OR

(b) Refund:-

💵 Participants can opt for a 50% refund instead of 100% credit shell if they wish to. The conditions of “Cancellation Method” will be the same as mentioned above. The participant has to inform either offline or online minimum 10 days prior to his reporting date. If the request reaches short of 10 days prior to the reporting date the refund request shall not be considered.

📝 Note: If any program will be cancelled due to 🌪️ Natural Calamity / 🏛️ Government Restriction / ❌ Cancellation of Permission or any other reasons, YHAI will be accountable only for program fees and not other expenses which participants have made for joining the program. In these circumstances the decision for participation fees will be considered by the YHAI and will be bound to all.
