The Jessore Sloth Bear Sanctuary is situated 45 km from Palanpur. The 180.66 sq km of forested land of the Jessore hill and adjoining areas is endowed with several rare and endangered species of flora and fauna. As part of the Aravali ecosystem, this is aunique buffer that separates the desert areas from the dry deciduous type of plantation in the region. Jessore hill is the second highest peak in Gujarat and the sanctuary is well known for the population of sloth bears. Other important species are leopards, Rhesus macaque, Indian civet cat, porcupine, fox, striped, hyena, wild boar and avian life, along with snakes, tortoises and lizards.
Reporting : 7 March – before 11 am at Jessore Camp Site

STAY : In Rooms/Dormitory (On Sharing Bases)(Separate for Male and Female Participants)
CAMP FEES : Rs. 1,900/- per participant
INCLUSIONS : Food (1 Breakfast, 2 Lunch, 1 Dinner), Forest Entry Fees, Accomodation, Guide Charge
CANCELLATION : 50% of camp fees will be refunded if cancelled before 28th February. Thereafter no refund.
YOU SHOULD BRING: Strong Walking / Trekking Shoes, Sun-Cap, Water Bottle, Personal Medicines, Mosquito repellant Cream, Pen, Diary, Binoculars, Sleeping Bag / Blanket, Mug / Glass, Torch. Dull Coloured Clothes. DO NOT CARRY DISPOSABLE PRODUCTS, Strong perfumes.

Day 1
10 am- 12 pm – Reporting, site familiarization and introduction
12 pm – 3.00 pm – Lunch and rest
3 pm – 6 pm – trek 1
6 pm – 8 pm- Rest and Dinner
8.30- 9.30 pm- Camp Fire and retire to bed
Day 2
5.30 am- wake up call
6.30 am- 7.30 am- Explore surroundings
7.30 am- 8 am- Breakfast
8am – 12 pm – Trek 2
12 pm- 2 pm- Lunch,rest and departure
